Kidney Stones- Kidney stones can range in size from tiny particles that pass through the urinary tract unnoticed to larger stones that cause significant pain and discomfort. The stones can be located in different parts of the urinary system, including the kidneys, ureters (tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder), bladder, or urethra (tube that carries urine out of the body).

Symptoms:

  1. Severe pain: Intense pain in the back or side (flank pain) that may radiate to the lower abdomen and groin. The pain can come in waves and vary in intensity.
  2. Hematuria: Blood in the urine, which may be visible or detected under a microscope.
  3. Urinary urgency and frequency: Feeling the need to urinate more frequently or urgently.
  4. Painful urination: Discomfort or pain during urination.
  5. Cloudy or foul-smelling urine: Changes in the appearance or odor of urine.
  6. Nausea and vomiting: Some individuals may experience nausea and vomiting due to the intense pain.
