Phimosis – Circumcision

Phimosis – tightness or narrowing of the foreskin of penis, making it difficult or impossible to retract it fully over the glans (the head of the penis). –

Phimosis – Circumcision- Circumcision is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of the foreskin, the retractable skin covering the tip of the penis. It is commonly performed for various reasons, including medical, cultural, or religious beliefs. One of the medical indications for circumcision is phimosis.

Phimosis is a condition where the foreskin is too tight and cannot be easily retracted over the head of the penis. It can cause discomfort, difficulty with hygiene, and in some cases, problems with urination or sexual activity. If conservative treatments such as topical steroid creams or gentle stretching exercises do not provide relief, circumcision may be recommended.

Circumcision for phimosis is generally considered a safe procedure, but like any surgery, it carries potential risks and complications, including bleeding, infection, pain, and scarring.
